Center for Minority Entrepreneurship

The Motiso Center for Minority Entrepreneurship provides enterprises an opportunity to build organizations that are best in class for planning, financial management, market management, business operations, and resource capacity.

Minority and women business owners thrive by working with us because we provide hands-on support that is affordable, and we complement and extend the support of existing programs such as SBA, SCORE, and SBDC.

We offer a virtual incubator that creates a consortium of support where clients gain access to newsletters, networking events, entrepreneurship education, business solutions, a Success Roadmap, micro finance services, and other resources to be successful.

Business Advancement Program (BAP)

The BAP is a structured comprehensive program where an entrepreneur gains access to a dedicated expert strategy and management consultant to work side-by-side in the business. There are two proprietary services offered in the BAP:

Our inSTRATEGY service is an intense focus on strategic planning and implementation to jumpstart organizational change.

On an ongoing basis, our MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS work in the business with our clients to develop actions plans, project manage execution, and monitor and control results.

Entrepreneurship Education

Our training program is designed to empower business owners and their teams by addressing weak areas. Our goal is to enable them to be self-sustaining without us because we believe in empowering the business to succeed without us.

Curriculum topics include:
-Entrepreneurship theory and practice in an academic certificate program.
-Kaufmann Fasttrac curricula for new ventures, growth ventures, and tech ventures.
-“Brutal Facts” seminars and workshops on critical elements needed for business success.
-Skills enhancement training in leadership and management; marketing and sales; and financial literacy.

Micro Finance

Motiso makes micro loans to qualified clients, and promotes financial literacy through training. Our loans are for member clients of the Center for Minority Entrepreneurship virtual incubator. We make micro loans for working capital needs. When a client needs a loan, we also conduct a financial analysis to understand the root situation and implement appropriate actions for the future.
